2nd annual Tucker Bike Benefit to support local entrepreneur battling cervical cancer
CRISFIELD, Md.- The Delmarva Riders RC 2nd annual Tucker Bike Benefit will return next month, helping a local family in need.
This year’s event will go to support Ty Wongus who’s battling stage 4 cervical cancer.
Wongus is the owner of PortLife T-shirts, selling shirts designed to make chemotherapy sessions more comfortable for cancer patients who have ports in their chest.
Organizers tell us the event allows them the chance to rally behind someone that already gives and does so much for others. “Our whole goal as a club and as a group of people is trying to give back. She does that. That’s what she does,” Delmarva Riders President Mack said.
“What better way can we give back other than supporting someone who already gives back so much.”
The event will include live music and all you can eat crab and rib selections.
It’s set for Saturday, August 20th at Fisherman’s Grille in Crisfield.
