Salisbury man arrested in March shooting

1280 Fisher Shooting

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man has been arrested in connection to a shooting that took place earlier this year.

On March 11, 2022, officers responded to the 1200 block of Flamingo Drive for a reported shooting, learning that 40-year-old Michael Fisher was shot in his abdomen area and taken to TidalHealth for treatment. Through an extensive investigation, police determined that during a large party in the area, Fisher and other unknown males got into an argument that resulted in multiple people firing weapons.

It was learned that Fisher exchanged gunfire and was hit, and was found to be in possession of a 10mm round when he arrived at TidalHealth. Police recovered 9mm and 10mm spent casings at the scene. We’re told Fisher is prohibited from possessing firearms and ammunition due to a prior felony conviction.

Fisher was arrested on June 1st and charged with attempted first and second degree murder, first and second degree assault, and other firearm related charges. He is currently being held without bond.
