Hebron house fire remains under investigation
HEBRON, Md. – State fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a house fire Tuesday afternoon in Hebron.
The fire was reported just before 3 p.m. at 104 Elm Street. We’re told the homeowner was working in the backyard with lawn equipment and power tools when he was alerted to the fire by neighbors. Firefighters responded to the scene and were able to control the blaze in approximately 45 minutes.
Fire marshals say it was determined that the fire began in a first floor dining room, but the cause remains unknown. Total damage has been estimated at $125,000.
