Dover man sentenced for enticing a minor

DELAWARE – A Dover man has been sentenced to federal prison time for enticing a minor.

25-year-old Bruce Jarvela III pled guilty to one count of enticement of a minor to produce child pornography back on October 18, 2021, and on Tuesday, he was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison, followed by 10 years of supervised release.

According to publicly filed documents and statements made in court, Jarvela used social media to lie about his identity and offer money in exchange for pornography, although he never paid. Jarvela reportedly got pornography from dozens of adult women and three known minor females, two of whom were younger than 15. We’re told he enticed these minors into creating videos of themselves performing humiliating sexual conduct. When one of the minors decided that she had had enough, Jarvela contacted her via text message to threaten her and tried to coerce her into making more pornography.
