Voter registration deadline looms in Md., options available
WICOMICO CO., Md. – Maryland voters will head to the polls in less than two months for the 2022 Gubernatorial Primary. But Marylanders only have about a month left to make sure they can vote. The deadline to register is June 28 and that’s also the last opportunity to change party affiliation.
Election officials say it can be done online, in-person or through the mail, you just need a driver’s license or a state ID.
Wicomico County Election Director Dionne Church also says if you miss the deadline there is another chance to register. “We are giving voters one last chance to register after the deadline of June the 28th, you will be able to register during early voting for same day registration. In addition, you will also be able to register on election day.”
Early voting in Maryland runs July 7th through the 14th. The actual primary is July 19th. To register online, or update your information, click here.
