Somerset Co. Hurricane Preparedness Poster Contest

47ABC – Hurricane season begins in just under one month. Somerset County Emergency Services is hosting a poster contest all to help spread the word on hurricane preparedness.

Jerred A. Johnson, the Emergency Planner,  joined the Good Morning Delmarva team to tell us more about the contest.

The contest is open to all 7th and 8th graders in Somerset County. Entries are open now thru May 31st at your school’s libraries.

Students can create their posters using an 8 1/2 by 11-inch piece of paper. Johnson says on the back of your poster, print your name, age, and contact information.

The winner will be announced on June 6th on Somerset County’s Facebook page.
