Salisbury Police arrest three as a result of drug investigation

SALISBURY, Md. – Salisbury Police have made three arrests following a drug investigation.

Earlier this month, police say they received information from concerned community members about drug transactions reportedly taking place in and around the 700 block of S. Division Street. As the investigation unfolded, detectives developed additional information, resulting in an application for a search and seizure warrant for a residence in the 700 block of S. Division Street.

The warrant was signed during the afternoon hours of May 17th, and members of the Salisbury Police Tactical Unit, along with members of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Response Team, served the warrant on the residence. As a result, police located and recovered a loaded, semi-automatic handgun, more than 300 grams of marijuana, and paraphernalia all consistent with the intent to distribute controlled dangerous substances.

At the time of the search and seizure warrant, officers located three subjects inside the residence, identified as 20-year-old Derrick Townsend, 19-year-old Joseph Bradley, and 19-year-old Marcel Garrett. All three are prohibited from possessing a regulated firearm due to being the age of 21.

All three were arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including CDS possession and firearm possession by a minor.
