Police: Domestic assault leads to charges for Berlin man

BERLIN, Md. – A Berlin man is behind bars following a domestic assault involving a firearm.

Berlin Police say they received the report on Wednesday and requested assistance from the Worcester County Bureau of Investigation. During the investigation, it was determined that a high-risk arrest warrant and a search warrant would need to be executed in the Franklin Knoll subdivision.

Police say after two hours of trying to communicate with the suspect, identified as Eric Nordstrom, contact was finally made and he was taken into custody.

Nordstrom was charged with first and second degree assault, use of a firearm during a crime of violence, and carrying a handgun on their person. He was held without bond.
