Police Chief Announces Retirement

MILFORD, De.- Police Chief Kenneth Brown announced he will be retiring from his position come August 1st of this year.

His decision comes after a lengthy career which started in 1988 as a police officer. Serving a variety of duties with the force until taking on the position of chief in 2016 after the retirement of former chief Keith Hudson who held the role since 2002.

When asked about why he decided to step down from the position he said, “My wife has a funeral in Laurel. I’ve been helping her part time when I can. We just decided the best way forward was for me to retire and work with her full time.”

He hopes that moving forward the department will receive a new building in the near future, and the project should be breaking ground in the coming months.
