Man arrested on manslaughter charges

GEORGETOWN, De – Delaware State Police arrested 26-year-old Jordan Walls of Georgetown on manslaughter charges.

The incident took place on May 18th at around 6 P.M. when officers responded to 22000 block of Deep Branch Road.

Once on the scene, officers found a 54-year-old female with a gunshot wound in the home.

After an investigation, DSP found that Walls was showing the victim his gun when a shot was discharged hitting the victim.

The victim eventually succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Walls was later taken into custody and transported to Troop 4 where he was charged with the following crimes:

  • Manslaughter (Felony)
  • Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony (Felony)

Walls was arraigned in the Justice of the Peace Court #3 and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $120,000 cash bond.
