Juvenile arrested in connection to April shooting in Dover
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police say they have arrested a 17-year-old in connection to a shooting that happened in late April.
The incident took place during the evening hours on April 27th, in the 100 block of Halsey Road. A 22-year-old male victim reported that his home was hit multiple times while occupied by the victim and family members. An unoccupied vehicle in the area was also hit by gunfire during the incident.
Through further investigation, the 17-year-old male juvenile was identified as a suspect in the shooting, and an arrest warrant was obtained. Police say he turned himself in on Tuesday and was charged with four counts of reckless endangering, four counts of criminal mischief, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
The juvenile was released to his mother on an $18,000 unsecured bond and GPS monitoring.
