Dover Police investigating shots fired at park

DOVER, Del. – Police are investigating a shots fired incident that took place Saturday evening in Dover.

Police say they were called to Schutte Park shortly after 7 p.m. for a report of shots fired. When they arrived at the scene, a large uncooperative crowd was reportedly dispersing. Officers found multiple shell casings in the area and discovered that one vehicle had been hit by gunfire.

No injuries were reported.

We’re told it was later learned that there was a large gathering/party in the park and that a fight had broken out prior to shots being fired.
