City of Salisbury announces bikeway separator upgrades

SALISBURY, Md. – City of Salisbury officials are advising motorists of traffic interruptions as safety upgrades are performed on the bikeway separator on South Boulevard.

City crews will be affecting the flow of traffic along South Boulevard from Waverly Drive to Eastern Shore Drive to install delineators in the buffer space along the bikeway on the street. We’re told this will increase safety, as delineators calm traffic, physically separate the bikeway from moving traffic, and prevent illegal parking in the bikeway.

All driveway and parking lot entrances will not be affected by this improvement. Work is scheduled to be performed intermittently over the next few weeks, barring any unforeseen problems or weather delays. Motorists should anticipate minor periodic traffic delays between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
