One injured in early morning house fire in Milford
MILFORD, Del. – A house fire in Milford sent one person to the hospital early Monday morning.
At around 4:15 a.m., firefighters with the Carlisle Fire Company responded to the 700 block of Cicada Lane for a reported house fire. Assistance was requested from several neighboring fire companies, and the blaze was placed under control roughly one hour later.
The sole occupant of the home, a 52-year-old man, suffered burn injuries and was flown to the Crozier Burn Center in Pennsylvania by the Delaware State Police Aviation Unit. We’re told he is listed in stable condition at this time. No other injuries were reported.
Deputy State Fire Marshals responded to the scene and are working to determine the cause of the fire. Total damage has been estimated at $200,000.
