MD resident throws his hat in the ring for Dorchester County Sheriff

DORCHESTER COUNTY, Md.- A Prince George native has filed to run for Dorchester County Sheriff.

LeRoi Robinson-Grant said he came to the Eastern Shore around 7 years ago, and wanted to move to Dorchester because of the small town community feel.

Robinson- Grant said he was in the marine corps and was a fitness professional, which allowed him to learn a lot about law enforcement through the people he met. He said if he was elected Sheriff he would ensure protection of the community and a fair department.

“I’m a people person,” Robinson-Grant said. “I love to make people feel safe secure and happy and when you can do that as far as a Sheriff’s Department concerned or any kind of work that you may do is make people feel safe and secure and that they can trust you then that is always a good thing.”

Robinson-Grant said along with being a people person he’s goal oriented, disciplined, and dedicated. He also has had a hand in community work.
