Cape Henlopen hands rival Sussex Tech first loss of the season

GEORGETOWN, Del.– Cape Henlopen defeated Sussex Tech in a final score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Cape Henlopen’s Joshua Reinhold would hit a solo home run in the 1st inning to give Cape the early 1-0 lead over the Ravens. The Vikings would add another run in the 4th inning on a RBI single from Brent Scott. Cape would add to that lead after scoring on a wild pitch to give them the 3-0 lead.

Sussex Tech fought hard in the bottom of the 7th inning by driving in 1 run on a RBI single from Brock O’Day and another run off of a wild pitch.

Nicholas Cox for the Vikings pitched 6 inning giving up only one run on two hits while striking out 7 batters.

The Vikings move on to play Indian River on Friday while Sussex Tech moves on to play Delmar.
