Accomack Co. homicide investigation underway

ACCOMACK CO., Va. – Police are investigating a homicide that took place Thursday morning in Accomack County.

Just after 7:30 a.m., state police were called to investigate a single vehicle crash on Route 13, at the intersection of Front Street and Mary N Smith Road. On arrival, troopers found a silver 2011 Ford Focus in the median, with a male driver suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say the driver, identified as 25-year-old Dajon Wise of Parksley, VA, died at the scene.

Virginia State Police are searching for any witnesses driving in the area of Route 13 in the vicinity of Front Street and/or Mary N Smith Road prior to or after the incident, who may have possible information.
