11th Annual Brewfest making a comeback in Dewey Beach to support charities

DEWEY BEACH, Del.- Gary’s Dewey Beach Grill/ 3875 Brewing is bringing back a popular event to help two local charities.

May 3rd, Gary’s Dewey Beach Grill will be hosting their 11th Annual Brewfest, in partnership with Starboard Raw.

The pandemic canceled last year’s Brewfest, but that’s not the case in 2022.

This year is all about supporting local service industry workers who’ve been hit hard by the impacts of the pandemic. The event is raising money for two charities, with an emphasis on helping those suffering from poor mental health.

“This year, due to the mental strain, especially on our industry over the past two years, we wanted to really bring mental health into the forefront of our cause for this year,” Holly Sloniewski, owner of Gary’s Dewey Beach Grill, said.

“To have this place full of happy friendly beer drinkers doing something good for a good cause just makes the place warm and fuzzy,” Gary Cannon, the owner of Gary’s Dewey Beach Grill/ 3875 Brewing,” said.

There will be around 30 breweries attending the event and food will be served as well.

Money raised will go to The Delaware Brewers Guild and Sean’s House.
