TidalHealth employees cheer on Maryland National Guard on their final day of deployment
SALISBURY, Md. – The Maryland National Guard received lots of love Thursday morning, at TidalHealth, as it marks their final day of deployment there.
Healthcare workers, hospital leaders, and kids applauded the National guard to show their appreciation during the pandemic. TidalHealth’s President and CEO said these guards have been here for several weeks taking on a variety of tasks, helping both physically and mentally.
“Obviously, everyone’s really tired and healthcare working through this COVID surge,” Steven Leonard, President and CEO at TidalHealth, said. “And, really to have the Guard members come in, and we saw it up in Delaware, as well in our Seaford location, when a Guard comes in it’s somewhat of an uplift that people get saying they are here to help.”
TidalHealth said there were 19 National Guard Members that served this deployment at their Salisbury location and roughly the same amount at the Seaford location.
