The heart of Berlin is getting some renovations, could bring in new businesses
BERLIN, Md.- The Historic District Commission has approved new designs for buildings from 19 North Main Street to 7 North Main Street.
Ivy Wells, the town’s Economic and Community Development Director, said for decades this is where Town Center Antiques was located.
But, they have relocated, and the space that used to be just one business will now be split into three or four different businesses.
“Berlin, like Salisbury, is a designated Maryland Main Street and the goal for that designation is to revitalize your downtown and bring in new businesses,” Wells said. “They always say the greenest building is the one already built, so I’m very excited to see the historic buildings being renovated.”
The director also said this is an opportunity to grow Berlin’s economy.
