Seaford falls in state semifinals to Tower Hill

NEWARK, Del. – Seaford’s boys basketball season came to an end at the Bob Carpenter Center Thursday evening in the DIAA state semifinals. Tower Hill defeated the Blue Jays, 58-42, to advance to the DIAA championship Saturday.

After scoring the opening basket of the game the Blue Jays quickly found themselves trailing by eight in the opening minutes.

The Hillers built a 14-point halftime lead thanks to their efficient shooting, while Seaford had a hard time converting close-range shots. Tower Hill outshot Seaford 52 percent to 33 percent in the first 16 minutes of play.

Careen Bolden led the Blue Jays in points with 15, Brent Ricketts contributed 10.

Seaford finishes their season 19-6.
