Police: Over 3,000 grams of marijuana, $10,000 in drug proceeds seized during investigation

MAGNOLIA, Del. – Four people are facing charges after police found firearms, drugs, and more than $10,000 in suspected drug money on Wednesday.

Troopers with the Delaware State Police Kent County Governor’s Task Force conducted surveillance at the Liberty gas station, located at 50 West Birdie Lane. Troopers located a silver Cadillac CTS that was parked in the lot and say the occupants were suspected of dealing drugs.

Police made contact with the occupants, identified as 20-year-old Ronald Webber and 21-year-old Justin Webber. A strong odor of marijuana was detected coming from inside the vehicle, leading police to detain the suspects. Also in the vehicle was a 6-year-old child, who was later turned over to a guardian.

While taking Ronald Webber into custody, police found a loaded 9mm handgun in his possession. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed approximately 114.28 grams of marijuana, two electronic scales, approximately 66.5 ml of THC oils, 22 rounds of .38 caliber ammunition, and 48 rounds of .22 caliber ammunition.

Troopers continued the investigation, which led them back to the suspect’s residence in the 500 block of Hollering Hill Road in Camden. Two additional subjects were located inside of the residence, identified as 18-year-old Madalynn Webber and 23-year-old Phillip Cubbage Jr.

Inside the residence, troopers located 40 dosage units of methadone, sawed off shotgun, Pavona 9mm handgun loaded with 7 rounds, Glock 43X loaded with an extended magazine and three rounds, 683 dosage units of Acid, approximately 97.48 grams of Psilocybin Mushrooms, approximately 3,287 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and over $10,500 in suspected drug money.

Each of the four suspects was arrested on numerous charges, including second degree conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Cubbage was held at SCI on a $57,500 secured bond, while the others were released on their own recognizance.
