Milford man arrested for robbery, assault

MILFORD, Del. – A Milford man is behind bars after police say he robbed and assaulted a man earlier this week.

At around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to the area of Northeast Front Street and East Street for a reported robbery. On arrival, a male victim was located, suffering from a serious injury to his face.

Further investigation revealed that the incident took place in the 300 block of South Washington Street, when the victim and suspect got into a verbal altercation. During the altercation, the suspect reportedly pulled out a handgun and hit the victim several times. The victim was able to flee and find help, and was later taken to a local hospital for treatment.

Police identified the suspect as 20-year-old Reggie Marshall, and a warrant was obtained for his arrest. Marshall was taken into custody by Delaware Probation and Parole on Wednesday and was turned over to Milford detectives, who charged him with first degree robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, and second degree assault. He was held at SCI on $140,000 cash bail and was scheduled to appear for a preliminary hearing next week.

A mugshot of Marshall is not available at this time.
