Early morning shooting injures one in Dorchester Co.
CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Police are investigating a shooting that took place early Tuesday morning in Dorchester County.
Shortly before 1 a.m. Cambridge Police officers responded to the 700 block of Peachblossom Avenue for a report of a person that had been shot. On arrival, officers found a male victim sitting on the ground, bleeding from the right leg. The victim reportedly told police that he was walking on Peachblossom Avenue when he was approached by a man who appeared young and had a gun. The male suspect reportedly demanded that the victim empty his pockets, and when the victim told the suspect that he did not have anything to give him, the suspect fired a single shot, hitting the victim in the right leg.
The victim was taken to TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
