Bennett advances to state quarterfinals after overtime thriller

SALISBURY, Md.– The Bennett Clippers beat Oxon Hill in a final score of 61-58 in overtime on Wednesday night.

Bennett would go into the 2nd quarter with a 14-7 lead over Oxon. The Clippers would only hold a 3 point lead going into halftime. Going into the 4th quarter the Clippers would be ahead 40-33 but Oxon would tie the game late in the 4th.

Bennett and Oxon would go into overtime being tied at 49 a piece. The Clippers would survive overtime and advance to the state quarterfinals. Jace Hudson for the Clippers led the team in scoring with 19 total points.
