DOVER, Del. – A man wanted in connection to a 2020 homicide in Dorchester County has been arrested in Delaware.

At around 8:15 a.m, Saturday, the Dover Police Department and the U.S. Marshals First State Fugitive Task Force executed a search warrant at the Relax Inn, located at 640 S. DuPont Highway in Dover, resulting in the arrest of 23-year-old Ryshon Kelly.

Kelly was wanted in reference to the fatal stabbing of Roderick Russ. Russ’s mother, Jeanna Elliot tells 47 ABC in a statement, “I’m so appreciative of the ones who never left my side from day one. Especially the ones I never even knew. I felt so alone at times but I wasn’t going to give up the fight for justice for my son. Now I can finally rest and grieve properly knowing my son’s murderer is off the streets.”

Kelly was wanted by the Cambridge Police Department in connection to a fatal stabbing that took place on October 24, 2020. Kelly was committed to SCI pending extradition to Maryland.

As always, a suspect is considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
