Talbot Co. chicken house destroyed in fire

CORDOVA, Md. – A Talbot County chicken house was destroyed in a fire Saturday afternoon.

Shortly after noon, firefighters responded to the 2-alarm fire at 13113 Connelly Road. The blaze was controlled in approximately 90 minutes with a total of 80 firefighters and the Tanker Task Force responding to the scene.

The cause and origin of this fire remains under investigation. Total damage has been estimated at $200,000.
