Spartans conquer Raiders, one win from South title

FELTON, Del. – Lake Forest girls basketball hasn’t won a Henlopen South title since 1989, but moved one giant step closer to achieving that goal Tuesday. The Lady Spartans erased an 8-point halftime deficit to shock Woodbridge, 58-48.

Gabrielle Almonte led Lake with 29 points, as the Spartans improved to 16-3.

Lake Forest plays at Delmar Wednesday at 4 PM, with a win they would clinch a berth in the Henlopen championship against Cape Henlopen.
