Salisbury man sentenced to 35 years for sexually abusing a minor
SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man will spend more than three decades behind bars for sexually abusing a minor child.
In early November 2021, a Wicomico County jury convicted Clark Hutchison of sex abuse of a minor and three counts of third degree sex offense. Hutchison was sentenced earlier this month to a total of 55 years in prison, with 35 to be served in the Department of Corrections, and the remaining 20 years to be suspended. On release, Hutchison will be on probation for 5 years. He also must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life, and will be subject to lifetime sex offender supervision by the Sexual Offender Management Team.
The offenses reportedly took place during the summer of 2019, and the minor victim, who was under the age of 11 at the time of the offenses, came forward in 2020 to report the abuse.
