Princess Anne townhouse fire ruled accidental

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Officials say unattended cooking is to blame for a kitchen fire in Princess Anne Wednesday morning.

The first was reported shortly before 10 a.m., at a townhouse located at 12156 Queens Grant Drive. Firefighters with the Princess Anne Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene and had the fire under control in approximately 30 minutes.

State fire marshals were called to the scene to investigate, ultimately determining that the fire began in the kitchen and was caused by unattended cooking. Total damage has been estimated at $42,000.
