Ocean Downs casino joins Governor Hogan’s booster action plan, boosters and free play

BERLIN, Md. – The Ocean Downs casino is holding a vaccination clinic to support the booster action plan and Governor Larry Hogan stopped by for a visit on Saturday afternoon.

Those who are 21 and older stopped by the casino from 12 to 6 p.m. to get a booster and $10 in free play. We’re told those who took advantage, also become eligible for the Vaxcash 2.0 promotion.

Governor Hogan tells 47 ABC, Maryland is one of the leading states in vaccinations, but there’s still more work to be done, and that’s getting the rest of Marylanders boosted. “People are going to be more protected in case there’s another surge of a different variant perhaps in the fall so we’re just trying to get everybody finished,” says Gov. Hogan. Senator Mary Beth Carozza who also paid a visit adds, “It’s so convenient for the team members of ocean downs casino to come right in and be vaccinated and then for the customers to know that it’s right here.”

The Vaxcash 2.0 promotion will reward $2 million in cash prizes to Maryland residents 18 years of age or older. They must have received an initial dose and a booster at non-federal facilities in Maryland.

The clinic will also be open on Sunday, February 20, from 12 to 6 p.m.
