“I’m going to continue to do my due diligence:” Speaker Pro Tem Sheree Sample-Hughes files for re-election

MARYLAND–Speaker Pro Tem Sheree Sample-Hughes filed for re-election.

Sample-Hughes is a member of the House of Delegates serving District 37A as a Democrat.

She said she filed again because she wants to continue to be the voice for the people and connecting community members with resources, while making them affordable.

Speaker Pro Tem Sample-Hughes said she’s been able to bring money back to these districts through bills over the years that she’s sponsored, as well as job opportunities.

Adding, over the years she learned a lot, not just about her jurisdictions, and this has made her well versed on other parts of the state.

Delegate Sample-Hughes said with that said she doesn’t want to stop growing, in order to make positive differences.

“I’m going to continue to do my due diligence to do my education of different subject areas, but to move the needles on areas that I believe that need to have movement and i believe the bills that i have sponsored over the years they speak for themselves and we have made progress,” Speaker Pro Tem Sample-Hughes said.

Speaker Pro Tem Sample-Hughes also serves on the Health and Government Operations Committee.
