Harris announces additional grants for Eastern Shore entrepreneurship centers

Additional Releif Funding Annoucment

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Andy Harris has announced additional USDA Rural Development Grants for Maryland.

We’re told this funding will be used to provide business-based training and technical assistance to rural microenterprise and microentrepreneurs. Two entrepreneurship centers on the Eastern Shore are slated to receive funding:

  • Maryland Capital Enterprises, Salisbury: $131,687
  • Eastern Shore Entrepreneurship Center, Easton: $22,481

Congressman Harris issued the following statement:

As the Acting Ranking Member for the appropriations subcommittee responsible for this funding, I remain committed to ensuring rural America is provided the resources and expertise it needs to grow and thrive in our competitive business environment.”
