Five arrested, one remains wanted in Salisbury attempted murder

SALISBURY, Md. – Wicomico County Sheriff’s Deputies say they have charged five people and are searching for a sixth in connection to a shooting incident that took place back in December.

On December 11, 2021, deputies responded to the 500 block of E. College Avenue for a report of a victim with a gunshot wound to the back. The victim was taken to TidalHealth for treatment, where he underwent surgery and remained hospitalized for a period of time.

Through further investigation, it was determined that a total of six suspects were involved. It was learned that the suspects set the victim up for a robbery at a residence at the above location. When the victim arrived at the residence, the robbery occurred, during which the victim was shot in the back.

Over the course of the last two months, four of the adult suspects and a juvenile have been charged, and one suspect is still wanted. Police have arrested 19-year-old Don-Mere Flowers, 30-year-old Ramier Bender, 18-year-old Ashyria Johnson, 18-year-old Neal McCallum, and a 14-year-old juvenile. All have been charged with attempted murder, assault, robbery, and multiple related offenses. We’re told Johnson was released and is currently on house arrest, and the other three adults remain behind bars without bond.

19-year-old Christopher Frederic is currently wanted for attempted murder, assault, armed robbery, theft, and other related charges.
