Fire marshals investigating fatal fire in Snow Hill
SNOW HILL, Md. – The Worcester County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fatal fire that happened Wednesday afternoon in Snow Hill.
Officials say the fire was reported just after 3:30 p.m., in the 100 block of North Ross Street. Firefighters and paramedics from the Snow Hill Volunteer Fire Company responded to the scene after receiving a report of a burn injury and building fire in the area. On arrival, it was learned that a fire broke out at this location as a result of outdoor burning, and the victim unfortunately died as a result of their injuries.
The name of the victim is being withheld at this time pending positive identification by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner’s Office.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
