Clear Space Theatre’s ‘Sylvia’ helping adoptable dogs

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – A special performance is kicking off in Delaware this weekend and it’s shining a light on adoptable pets in Delaware.

Clear Space Theatre is putting on their performance of Sylvia, a play about a couple who gets a new dog. While the play is about a dog, theatre officials say they wanted to use the chance to partner with the Delaware Humane Association and highlight some adoptable dogs in the shelter.

It’s all part of Clear Space Theatre’s Give Back Program, and we’re told half of the proceeds from the show will be shared with the humane association to continue their work.

“I’m excited that we use theatre to call attention to the need to adopt animals like Larry, and give them safe homes, and in doing so, we call attention to this issue through the use of theatre,” Wesley Paulson, the Executive Director of the theatre, said.

Wesley says the show will actually start with a parade of adoptable dogs, too. As of this Friday morning, tickets were still available for the show. You can find them on clear space theatre’s website.
