Wicomico Co. Health Department to begin mask distribution in addition to at-home tests

Corona 2

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico County Health Department will begin distributing masks to the public, in addition to continuing to offer free COVID-19 testing.

The health department and Wicomico Public Libraries partnered to distribute free at-home tests in November 2021, and will continue to do so. However, in order to maximize distribution, test kits will now be limited to one kit per person. Each kit contains two tests. Test kits are available at all three library branches.

Free testing clinics will continue at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ups are welcome. If you would like to make an appointment, you can call 410-341-4600.

Starting today, January 18th, the Wicomico County Health Department will receive and distribute KN95 and N95 masks to the public. Based on supplies received, limits on distributions may apply. These masks will be available at public access points within all Wicomico Health Department buildings, as well as the COVID-19 Testing & Vaccination Clinics at the Civic Center and all three branches of the Wicomico Public Library.
