Traffic stop ends in two women arrested for drug related charges

EASTON, Md. –  Wednesday, officers from the Easton Police Department stopped a vehicle for a lane violation.

We’re told the officer’s requested a K-9 officer to respond to the stop and the vehicle was scanned with the positive alert for the odor of a controlled dangerous substance. A probable cause search of the vehicle and the driver of the vehicle led to the findings of several glass smoking devices, a pill of suspected heroin, and several capsules of suspected crack cocaine.

The driver of the vehicle Tiffanie Anne Corwin was also found to be driving while impaired by a controlled dangerous substance. Police tell 47 ABC, Corwin was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of a controlled dangerous substance not marijuana, possession of controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia, and driving under the influence of a controlled dangerous substance.

The passenger in the vehicle Sheldon Terrill Nieves was also arrested and charged with a criminal citation for possession of the controlled dangerous substance

Nieves was released with his criminal citation and Corwin was transported to the Talbot County Detention Center to be seen by the Talbot County District Court
