National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day this Sunday

BETHANY BEACH, Del. – This Sunday, the spotlight will be on some first responders who risk their lives daily to keep our communities safe.

Sunday, January 9th is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.

The day honors all officers who dedicate their lives to serving and protecting their communities.

To celebrate, the Fraternal Order of Police in Bethany Beach is asking community members to place a blue light in your home windows or ribbons on your mailbox or car doors.

They’re also encouraging people to say hello when they see a local officer and tell him or her how much they’re appreciated.
