Fruitland house fire ruled accidental
FRUITLAND, Md. – A weekend house fire in Fruitland has been ruled accidental.
We’re told the fire was reported at around 4:40 p.m. Saturday, at 311 North Division Street. Firefighters responded and got the blaze under control in approximately 45 minutes.
State fire marshals responded to the scene to investigate the fire, which began in the attic of the home. Investigators determined that the blaze was caused by an electrical failure of a branch wire.
Total damage has been estimated at $130,000.
