DelDOT prepping for predicted Monday morning snow storm

DELAWARE – DelDOT is working to make sure community members are prepared for Monday’s predicted snowstorm.

DelDOT officials tell us, trucks are already prepping the roadways and will be out early tomorrow morning as well. We’re told the recent rainfall has prevented them from doing earlier prep, so road conditions could potentially be icy.

DelDOT says they’re continuing to monitor the forecast, and they’re asking drivers to give DelDOT trucks and snowplows room to do their job, to provide a safe commute Monday morning. “Just be prepared for the likelihood that there is going to be snow impacting commutes tomorrow and the likelihood that it may not be that bad in the morning when you head out but later in the day it could certainly be an issue,” says C.R. McLeod, Director of Community Relations at Delaware Department of Transportation. He adds, “Make sure you have some of those essentials in your car for a storm situation is always a good thing to do in preparation for the winter season.”

DelDOT is asking drivers to be prepared for whatever the conditions may be, they’re also advising you to make sure your vehicles are ready for the road conditions.
