Candlelight vigil being held for shooting victims at El Nopalito Restaurant in Georgetown

GEORGETOWN, Del.- Local lawmakers are honoring two men who were murdered through a candlelight vigil.

Senator Brian Pettyjohn, Representative Ruth Briggs King, and Georgetown Mayor Bill West.

The vigil is to show unity after the double homicide of 31- year old Armando Vicente Chilel Lopez and 28 year old- Honorio Velasquez at El Nopalito Restaurant.

Senator Pettyjohn said when tragedy strikes the community comes together and he wants the family to know they are here for them.

“Families are stretched and stressed as it is right now and when strategy like this strikes a lot of time feels like the world is coming down them, and so the next question is home can we support the family through this, how can we be there for them, how can we show them that they are not alone,” Sen. Brian Pettyjohn, said.

There are donation pages up for both of the men to help with funeral expenses, you can find those below.
