Two Eastern Shore projects receive grant funding through Community Development Block Program

MARYLAND – The Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development announced on Thursday that $7 million will be awarded through the Community Development Block Program.

We’re told this funding will support 17 projects in 11 counties, including improvements to infrastructure and community facilities, as well as programs serving seniors, persons with disabilities, and low- to moderate-income individuals.

More than $7 million in Fiscal Year 2022 Community Development Block Grants was awarded to 17 projects, including two on the shore:

  • Water and sewer system improvements in Snow Hill
  • Renovation of a former school in Cambridge to create a Boys and Girls Club
