TidalHealth giving away free heart and vascular screenings
SALISBURY, Md. – TidalHealth is giving folks some free screenings for the holiday season.
They are offering heart and vascular screenings something which many people put off during the coronavirus pandemic. The hospital said people need to know just how important it is to get these preventive measures done.
“When you’ve got such a heightened awareness of another disease those kinds of things tend to be put on the back burner and it’s certainly in our practices we need to continue to try and educate patients on to help them understand the importance of getting these preventive measures done because things like heart disease and cancer they can still come up, whether covid exists or not,” Jim Trumble, Vice President of Clinical Integration, said.
Community members do need to qualify before they can get a free vascular screening.
Appointments are available at TidalHealth locations in Salisbury, Millsboro, and Ocean Pines.
If you are 55 or older, please call 410-543-7123 to find out if you qualify for the free vascular screenings and to reserve a date and time. Appointments are available:
- Dec. 16; Jan, 13, 27; Feb. 24 — TidalHealth Peninsula Regional, Salisbury
- Feb. 10 — TidalHealth Primary Care, Millsboro
- March 10 — TidalHealth Primary Care, Ocean Pines
