Drug investigation leads to numerous charges for Selbyville man
SELBYVILLE, Del. – Delaware State Police say a several months-long drug investigation led to the arrest of a Selbyville man.
At around 4:20 p.m. Tuesday, troopers were assisted by Delaware Probation and Parole in executing a search warrant on 32-year-old Michael Johnson’s residence in the 28000 block of Cordgrass Circle. There were also three children ages 3, 7, and 16-years-old inside the residence at the time of the search warrant.
A search of the residence led to the discovery of a stolen black Arex Slovenia 9mm handgun, a Marlin Firearms Co .22 caliber rifle, a Smith and Wesson M&P Rifle, numerous boxes of ammunition, approximately .21 grams of heroin, and one liquid THC vape cartridge.
Johnson was arrested on numerous drug and firearm related charges, including three counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, three counts of endangering the welfare of a child by committing a drug offense, six counts of possession of ammunition by a person prohibited, and knowingly operating a clandestine laboratory. He was held at SCI on a $170,300 cash bond.
