Dorchester Co. pole barn fire under investigation

DORCHESTER CO., Md. – State fire marshals are working to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a pole barn Wednesday afternoon.

We’re told the fire was reported at 2131 Hoopersville Road. Firefighters with the Church Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded to the two-alarm blaze, which took nearly one hour to control.

State fire investigators were called to the scene to investigate the cause, which remains under investigation. Total damage has been estimated at $90,000.
