Blue Raiders denied 2A state title
Woodbridge shutout by Archmere, 27-0
NEWARK, De- The Woodbridge Blue Raiders dropped one game short of their goal, falling 27-0 in the 2A state title game to Archmere.
The Blue Raiders never trailed–and fell behind 13-0 one quarter in behind two touchdowns from Archmere’s Declan Pearson. Trailing 13-0 after the half–‘Bridge would blast their way to the Auks red zone, only to be denied points on back to back possessions inside the 10-yard line.
Archmere would get two more rushing touchdowns from Johnny Kim and Chris Albero to stretch the lead late in the second half.
Woodbridge finishes the season at 12-1, while Archmere capped off a perfect 13-0 season.
