Berlin Merry Bike Ride kicks of Thursday

BERLIN, Md.- In America’s coolest small town, a group is hosting the 2nd Annual Berlin Merry Bike Ride.

Tony Weeg, President of We Heart Berlin Incorporated, said last year during the pandemic he was part of a group of guys that went around town on bikes covered with Christmas lights.

This year they want to bring that back but in a bigger way.

For a $25 donation, you can join in to take a bright bike ride through Berlin.

There will be music, lights on bikes, and more merry fun, and each donation will help fund a new bike and skatepark.

“For us, to just continue with our message of increasing recreational opportunities in Berlin and just doing it with a little Christmas message attached to it,”  Weeg, said. “It feels really good and the support feels amazing the donations have come in for people who can’t ride that are just wanting to donate so that other people can ride.”

The donation will also get you a chance to enter into the coolest decorated bike contest and win $100.

Everyone participating should meet at Burn Wood Fired Pizza at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.

The ride starts at 7:45 p.m.

Weeg wants to thank everyone who has supported the bike/skatepark, as well as to put on this event.
