Wicomico Co. Health Department announces first COVID-19 vaccine clinic for ages 5 to 11

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico County Health Department will hold its first COVID-19 vaccine clinic for children age 5 to 11 next week.

The clinic will be held on Monday, November 8th, from 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center. A parent or guardian must be present with the child in order for the vaccine to be administered.

Additional clinic dates for ages 5 to 11 will be announced as soon as they are scheduled.

Additionally, the health department says it is working with Wicomico County Public Schools to hold vaccine clinics at local schools. Parents will be required to be present. Several local pediatricians and pharmacies have received vaccines for the 5 to 11 age group; please call ahead to verify vaccine availability at those locations.

The Wicomico County Health Department will continue holding regular vaccination clinics at the Civic Center for those 12 years and older, as well as booster shots for eligible individuals.
