We’re told the incident was reported just before 2:30 p.m., at the Dover East Mobile Home Park. On arrival, officers observed 20-year-old Robert Stecher running in the area of the main entrance to the park and took him into custody. Officers then contacted 22-year-old Tanagon Sripongsai and took him into custody after speaking with him about the incident. A short time later, 22-year-old Divine Watkins was located in the area of Ladybug Drive suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck.

Further investigation revealed that Stecher and Watkins attempted to break into Sripongsai’s residence in the mobile home park. During a struggle at the entrance, Strecher allegedly pulled out a revolver and pulled the trigger, but the gun did not fire. Sripongsai then grabbed his own handgun and reportedly fired twice at Stecher and Watkins, hitting Watkins in the neck, before the pair fled the area on foot.
